Builds for Navy Veterans:
USS Prince Georges AP-165 (1944)

This is the old ship of a WWII vet friend who served aboard her during the invasion of Kwajalein atoll. I built it for presentation to him on the 60th anniversary of the Tokyo Bay Surrender Signing which formally ended the Pacific War. Sadly, by late 2005 time and diminishing faculties had robbed him of the memory that I was building it for him, that he had been looking forward to it or even that he knew me. Fair winds and following seas, My Friend.

And to you fellow modelers: if you want to honor a WWII or Korean War vet you know, don't delay - because time is flying.
